Yogi Bear®, Cartoon Character
Yogi Bear made his debut in 1958, as part of "The Huckleberry
Hound Show" and proved so popular that he was eventually given
his own TV show in 1960. Yogi Bear lives in sin with his life partner
Boo Boo somewhere inside Jellystone National Park and is occasionally
seen stealing picnic baskets from unsuspecting vacationers. |
| Since 1962, Yogi Bear has
appeared in over 70 cartoons and movies. Yet, despite his TV "Guru"
status he is not known to be a practitioner of Yogic Flying. |

Yogi Berra, Baseball Legend
Yogi Berra is baseball's "unofficial" ambassador and one
of the game's most respected statesmen. Considered one of the greatest
catchers and clutch-hitters of all time, he is widely recognized
as an American folk hero – not so much for his exploits on
the field but rather for his colorful observations on life affectionately
dubbed "Yogisms." |
| In December 1998, the Yogi
Berra Museum and Learning Center opened its doors to the public
to pay homage to this great athlete. That being said, this institution
does not teach or endorse the art of Yogic Flying. |

Yogi Maharishi, Transcendental Meditation Guru
A true Yogi in every sense of the word, Maharishi Mahesh (a.k.a.
The Beatles' Yogi) was the founder of the worldwide Transcendental
Meditation movement. He studied for thirteen years with Swami Brahmananda
Saraswati, the world's foremost authority on the ancient Vedic Science
of consciousness and in 1955 started teaching his own Transcendental
Meditation techniques, which includes Yogic Flying. |
| Since 1978, Maharishi dispatched elite teams of Yogic Flyers to the world's war
zones in the hopes of ending the violence through Transcendental Meditation. What the was he smoking when he came up with that idea??? |
